Russell Renovation

Websites & Digital Services for Contractors

Most contractor websites are built by people who have never pulled a permit. Ours are built by a working general contractor — because we built our own first, and we run our company on it every day.

Russell Renovation runs on the same stack we’re offering you: a professional website, an assistant that answers questions when you’re on a roof, project tracking your clients can see, and the phones, calendar and email wired together behind it. We’re not reselling a theory. You can look at ours.

What you get

A professional website, built for your trade. Written for the customers you actually want, structured so Google can find you, with your license and credentials front and center — because that’s what wins work. We build it. You approve it. It goes live.

Monthly care, so it stays alive. Updates, security, backups, content changes when your services change, and a real person to call. A website nobody maintains is a liability with your name on it.

$249 a month. That’s the price.
No contracts to decode. Twelve months to start, month-to-month after that. We host it, we maintain it, we keep it working. Renovation Room Contractors Association members: no setup fee — that’s a member benefit, full stop.

What monthly care covers

  • Software and security updates, tested — not just auto-clicked
  • Daily backups, so a bad day is a restore, not a rebuild
  • Content changes when your services, prices or crew change
  • Hosting, domain wiring and email deliverability handled
  • A real person to call — you have our number already

Also on the menu

Scoped per client on the intro call — pricing depends on what you need:

  • Custom dashboards & CRM — the project tracking we run our own jobs on
  • Social media & community building — we grew a 42,000-member trade community
  • Back-office systems — phones, calendar and email wired together so nothing falls through
  • Hardware & home-office setup — the right machines, set up right

Why us and not a web company

Because we’re not a web company. We’re a licensed Chicago general contractor (TGC146550 — look it up) that built this for ourselves first. The team behind this also runs The Renovation Room, a 42,000-member community of Chicagoland contractors and tradespeople. We know what a homeowner asks before they hire you, because they ask us too.

You should be able to check anyone you hire. Our own site — the one you’re reading — is the first one we built. Judge the product by it.

Work we’ve shipped

We said you should be able to check anyone you hire. So here is everything we’ve built — six live sites and an app in both stores. Open any of them.

Built for The Renovation Room

A 42,000-member contractor marketplace, its membership funnel, its app, and its nonprofit arm.

Marketplace

The Renovation Room

The marketplace homeowners use to find vetted pros across Chicagoland, NW Indiana and southern Wisconsin — directory, project submissions and paid memberships.

Proves: a full membership platform with billing, member profiles and lead routing — not a brochure site.

iOS & Android

The Renovation Room App

A native app for both sides of the marketplace: homeowners browse pros and submit projects, members work their leads and manage their profile.

Proves: we ship past the browser — through Apple and Google review, live on both stores, behind one link that sends each visitor to the right one.

Join The Renovation Room

The membership signup page — one job, one decision, no navigation to wander off into.

Proves: a focused landing page built to convert, kept separate from the main site so it can be tested and changed fast.

The Renovation Room Network nonprofit site

The Renovation Room Network

The community arm — pre-apprenticeship trainees learning the trade on real job sites alongside licensed contractors.

Proves: mission-driven work with a different job to do — recruiting projects, partners and support rather than selling.

Built for AC’s Protégés

A creator’s home base, on her own domain, owned by her.

AC’s Protégés

A creator’s home base — one link in a TikTok bio holding a live show schedule, nine content channels and a growing community, each honestly marked as running or still in build.

Proves: range beyond contracting, and speed — designed, built and live on its own domain in a single day.

Built for Russell Renovation

The site you’re reading.

Russell Renovation

The site you are reading. A licensed general contractor’s website with the license number, insurance and service area up front where customers check.

Proves: the contractor template itself — the exact thing we build for you, running our own company.

The Renovation Room and The Renovation Room Network are affiliated companies.

The systems behind the sites

A website is where people find you. What happens after they call, message, or send the form is where the job is actually won or lost. That’s the other half of what we build — and we run it on our own company before we sell it to yours.

Try it before you buy it. Call (708) 695-6095 — the number at the top of this page. That’s Reno answering, any hour. It will tell you it’s an assistant, because that’s the rule.

Always on

Reno

Our own assistant, running on a server in our office. It project-manages a live construction job — keeps the record, logs every bid and decision, drafts scope emails and receipt confirmations, and handles the business line and calendar. Built on OpenClaw, thinking with Claude.

Outreach & content

Hermes

A briefing every weekday morning — who replied, who bounced, which leads came in overnight. A social post drafted every afternoon. Research and list-building across 37 connected prospecting tools. It drafts; a person sends.

The team

Eight assistants, three machines

Project management, outreach, content, admin, research and the knowledge base — each with its own memory, its own written charter, and its own limits. They pass work to each other through a shared mailroom instead of sharing a brain.

How we keep them safe

An assistant with access to your business is only worth having if it can’t embarrass you. This is the part most people skip.

It drafts. You send.
No assistant of ours sends an email, posts publicly, or commits to anything without a person approving it first. That’s enforced in how the system is built, not by asking it nicely.
Hard walls, written before it runs.
Each one is walled off from what it has no business touching — money, legal matters, anything sensitive. The wall goes in its charter before it’s switched on, not after something goes wrong.
It says what it is.
Ours identify themselves as assistants. They never pretend to be a person, and anything going to a city department, an attorney or a government office goes out in a human’s voice, reviewed first.
Least privilege, one capability at a time.
Read-only before read-write. One folder, not the whole drive. Each new capability gets tested and documented before the next one is added.
On hardware we own.
Not a cloud bill that grows every time you use it. Private networking, nothing exposed to the open internet, and everything logged and reversible.

If we build one for you, it works the same way: one capability at a time, you approve everything it does, and it never takes an action you didn’t sanction. We’d rather ship one that safely does five things than a risky one that does fifty.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you need — the form below takes two minutes.
  2. 30-minute call — we look at what you have, what your trade needs, and whether this is a fit.
  3. We build, you approve, it goes live — then monthly care keeps it working while you work.

Straight answers

Why $249 a month?
Because that’s what serious contractor marketing programs charge — without a license number behind them. Ours comes from people who know what a homeowner checks before they hire you, because we get checked too.

Why twelve months to start?
We build your site up front at no setup cost — the first-year term is how that math works. After twelve months you’re month-to-month, and we earn the renewal or we don’t.

I already have a website.
Good — send us the link. We’ll tell you honestly whether you need us or not. Sometimes the answer is “keep what you have.” You’ll get that answer free either way.

How it starts

Fill out the form below. We’ll set up a 30-minute call on Google Meet — you’ll get a calendar invite, no phone tag. On the call we look at what you have now, what your trade needs, and whether this is a fit. If it’s not, we’ll tell you straight.
